Religious Education Sunday Programs for Children And Youth We offer a vibrant, active Religious Education program
for children and youth from infancy to high school graduation. Our classes
use contemporary educational methods and up-to-date spiritual and ethical
materials. We foster questioning minds, loving hearts, and helping hands.
We provide a progressive and evolving spiral of material about the Judeo-Christian
tradition, the wisdom of our world religious heritage, and our own Unitarian
and Universalist history, practices, and principles. We have an attentive
Nursery, age-appropriate ideas and activities for each age level, both middle
and high school classes, and a youth group for teenagers. Children and youth
join us for the early portion of our Sunday worship services and are welcome
at many of our church social events, educational opportunities, and community
service projects. Children and Youth are invited to sit with their parents
or friends as the church service begins at 11:00 a.m.The Religious Services Associate
for the day will call the children and youth to the front of the Chapel
where they may sit together around the right side of the raised platform
so they can easily participate in the Childrens Focus and other activities
that take place at the beginning of the service.
The children and youth will be adjourned to their classes at approximately 11:15. The Fall 2002 RE Program for Children and Youth will focus on Our Western Heritage. Meeting locations are as follows:
Child care for infants (0 to 3 years old and toddlers) is provided by our professional child care associate in the Nursery from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Infants, toddlers, Kindergarten and Primary children should be picked up from their classrooms by their parents following the Sunday service so they may participate with the congregation and its guests in the Social Hall fellowship.
